Like previous years, objective of this initiative is to raise a fund for the financially challenged students who have achieved excellent academic results this year (2009) S.S.C. examination, with all their financial and social adversaries. The Daily Prothom Alo has published the successful stories of the some of these brilliant students on June 7, 2009(click here). We believe that with a little support from all of us, like all our previous year students they can also flourish their talents and develop their full potential.
Our such initiative started two years back. In 2007, with the generous financial support from a lot of kind hearted people staying in different parts of the world, we were able to help 43 students from 12 different districts to continue their college education. You will be glad to know that even with our small amount of financial support, these students have made wonderful academic progress over the last two years and could appear for the HSC exam this year (2009). In our similar initiative in the year 2008, we had been support 33 students from 11 different districts. Here is the summary:
Total Number of Supported Students | 43 | 33 |
Total Number of Female Students | 15 | 7 |

Following is the list of students whom we have decided to provide financial support for the next two years. We need your financial contribution to support these students for the next two years. A person can sponsor any listed student or make a contribution of any amount she/he is willing to make. If we are unsuccessful in finding sponsors for all the students, in that case some of them will be provided with full support for two years through our common fund, and others will get a one time support to cover their initial admission fees at the college.
Summary of all students' academics and family profiles is available here.
