Like previous years, objective of this initiative is to raise a fund for the financially challenged students who achieved excellent results this year (2011) in S.S.C. examination, with all their financial and social adversaries. The Daily Prothom Alo has published successful stories of the some of these brilliant students on May 19, 2011(click here). We believe that with a little support from all of us, like all our previous year students they can flourish their talents and develop their full potential.
Our such initiative started four years back. In 2007, with the generous financial support from a lot of kind hearted people staying in different parts of the world, we were able to help 43 students from 12 different districts to continue their college education. In our similar initiative in the years 2008 and 2009, we had been able to support 45 students from 14 different districts. You will be glad to know that even with our small amount of financial support, these students made wonderful academic progress over their HSC duration and appeared for the HSC finals in 2009(Batch SSC 2007), 2010(Batch SSC 2008) and 2011(Batch SSC 2009) respectively. In addition, we are currently supporting 17 students from 9 different districts since 2010. Here is the summary:
SSC Year | 2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 |

Total Number of Female Students | 15 | 7 | 6 | 6 |

Primarily each student from the below-mentioned list will be given an amount of Tk 5,000 for their initial expenses to start college education. Then each month, they will receive Tk 1,000 to cover their expenses at college. We have representatives to deliver the money to each student.
Here is the detailed expense estimation for each student (2 years up to H.S.C. Exam.):

You can also sponsor any student and contribute the necessary amount ($495) at one time or any flexible installments for the next one or two years. For example, you can send an initial amount of $100 (to cover the initial expenses of the student as listed above), and then send the rest amount ($400) as $100 for four times or $50 for eight times or $25 for 16 times, on a regular basis upto the student's HSC Exam.

Following is the list of students whom we have decided to provide financial support for the next two years (we will update the list soon). We need your financial contribution to support these students for the next two years. A person can sponsor any listed student or make a contribution of any amount she/he is willing to make. If we are unsuccessful in finding sponsors for all the students, in that case some of them will be provided with full support for two years through our common fund, and others will get a one time support to cover their initial admission fees at the college.
Summary of all students' academics and family profiles is available here.
