Help Students to Sit for the HSC (Vocational) Exam 2017GoalsThe primary objective of this initiative is to raise funds for the financially challenged college students to help them pay their HSC examination registration (form fill-up) expenses and other fees they have to pay in their 1st year and 2nd year prior to sit for the HSC(vocational) exam. For many parents/guardians, paying this fee is a huge burden which forces premature drop out of many talents. We believe that with a little support from all of us, we can at least ensure that these students are not stuck at the very early stage of their careers. Project DetailsSchool Description: Khairunnesa Memorial High School is located in the remote village of Ikrail, Alfadanga, Faridpur district in Bangladesh. Students appear HSC examination(vocational) under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board with concentraion in three trades: 1) Civil Construction, 2) Textile Engineering and 3) Building Maintenance. Students who attend this school are from very poor families and often their parents are day labors and poor farmers. Recently, due to river erosion, the school land became detached from the main land. Under technical board, students have to appear at exams twice in a year at a distant center besides their final HSC exam. As per technical board's rule, both XI and XII students have to pay fees for these exams, admission fees, tuition fees and registration(form fill-up) fees. These fees are huge for these poor village students and for their poor families Many students drop out before finishing HSC as they cannot afford these fees and educational expenses. This year many of these HSC students are struggling to continue their education. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Form fillup fee (exam+registration fee) for each student is BDT4200/= ($55) We need to support 40 students.
